Daniel Allen, MS, CTRS is a certified recreational therapist and the founder of Dragon Haven. He began hosting Dungeons & Dragons games for adults with autism in 2019 for Project CASY at the Yale Child Study Center, and expanded Dragon Haven's reach to serve kids during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dan has over a decade of planning and facilitating group activities for kids, especially those with medical and psychiatric needs. Among his recent postings, he has worked as a therapist at Yale-New Haven Children's Psychiatric Inpatient Services, an experiential educator with Hopkins School, and the program coordinator at The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. He first became invested in child development while coordinating educational camps across Ethiopia as a Peace Corps Volunteer with his wife, Nikole. They live with their three kids in New Haven, Connecticut.
